The Channel Islands Christmas Lottery just made 30 finance workers very happy. The syndicate composed of mostly junior staff of the Jersey Financial Services Commission scooped a £1,161,750 jackpot.
Each of the members stand to collect more than £38,000, which for most represents about a year’s salary; not a bad way to greet the Christmas season. One of the lucky winners said he wants to save up the money to put up a deposit towards the purchase of a house.
