$310.5 Million Lotto Winner And Family Retire

When lottery players hit big jackpots, many of them choose to retire and follow their passions in life.  But when Michigan native Julie Leach won a $310.5 million Powerball jackpot, she led her family in an exodus toward retirement.

She has  chosen to receive her prize in a one-time payment of about $197.4 million before taxes or about $140 million net of taxes.  Leach, her partner and their two adult children have all given their notices.  The winner plans to buy land and homes for all of them.
