I get nervous if I haven’t checked my lottery tickets just a few days after the draw, but judging by the number of late claims it seems we’re quicker to buy tickets than we are to check the results!
And no-one more so than the unlucky EuroMillions winner from Hertfordshire in the UK.
For 6 long months the lottery company ran a publicity campaign to try and track down the missing winner, but sadly nobody came forward and the deadline to claim the winnings came and went.
The jumbo prize of £63,837,543 will now be donated to the National Lottery Good Causes fund where it will find it’s way into supporting numerous charitable and other causes.
