It wasn’t even the top prize, but Roy Case Sr didn’t mind all that much.

Roy, 52, from Jacksonville, Florida bought the ticket at the Kangaroo Express in Atlantic Boulevard.

He scratched off the $20 “Lucky $200,000 A Year For Life” ticket, and was shocked to find he had won the $50,000 a year for life prize.

But opting to take the payment as a cash lump sum instead, Roy was happy to receive a payment of $737,580.50.

The “Lucky $200,000 A Year For Life” game was launched in January 2010. It has prizes totalling over $450 million.

There are 10 top prizes of $200,000 a year for life, plus 10 prizes of $50,000 a year for life. Although one less now Roy has happily claimed one of them.
