Normally this game would pay out a jackpot of around $200,000. Not a huge sum, but it is only a Pick 5 game so is far easier to win.
So how did 98 people end up winning when normally it’s only 1 or 2 winners?
The winning numbers were 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.
These are just as likely to be drawn as any other numbers of course, but it’s a terrible combination to pick. Unless you really like sharing your prize money with lots of other people who pick popular lottery combinations.
