Five workers from the HCL call centre will each be depositing £155,306 after their numbers came up on the UK Lotto last Wednesday.
The jackpot of £2,329,590 was shared by 3 winning tickets, making each ticket worth £776,530.
The lucky Armagh five are: Brendan McLaughlin, Greg Mallon, Gillian Greer, Declan Mallon and Kenny Fong.
And they now consider themselves one of the luckiest lottery syndicates around – especially as they only started their syndicate just 2 weeks ago. And only bought 5 tickets.
Greg, 36, said the timing of the win was just perfect:
These are difficult economic times and we all realise just how lucky we are. Many people are facing uncertainties and the win will obviously give us peace of mind.
But not aversed to a bit more of a flutter, he and Declan now plan to use some of their money to become owners of a champion greyhound.
Gillian however plans to take her 4 children to see Santa in Lapland this year. Brendan has plans to buy a house, while Kenny remains a little more coy for now wanting to save his money for a rainy day.
