Bus driver Sean Lloyd found a penny on the floor outside the shop and felt it would bring him luck, so he bought a lottery ticket. He even rubbed the penny on the lottery ticket for good measure.
That seems to have worked well for him, because when he checked the winning number before going to bed, he found a match not only with the five of six numbers drawn, but the bonus ball as well. He won a quadruple jackpot of £1.8 million. He woke his wife so they could celebrate right then. Next day, he handed in his notice at work.
He has found a shiny 10p coin, and has bought a ticket for the next draw. He believes there is another win waiting for him.
