Last month Camelot pulled its mobile lottery app amid a host of problems.  Players using the App’s QR scanner were reporting that they were being informed that their winning tickets were losers.  The pullout came after about a week of customer complaints.  Now there’s good news.  After about a month Camelot has released a new version of its National Lottery Mobile app.

The release is only for the ios version.  The lottery says its Android version is still undergoing tests and will be released shortly.  The statement announcing the release of the improved app for ios came with instructions for download and installation.  Camelot further assures that this time the app was not only rigorously tested by its own team, they were also “independently checked for extra assurance.”

Players who believe they may have discarded winning tickets because of the glitch have been advised to contact the lottery within 30 days of purchase.

Statistics indicate that although there was a moderate (6%) decline in overall lottery sales in the past six months, mobile sales for the same period increased by 13.5%.
