The managing partner at Hilton Head Lexus received a million dollar bonus, not from work, but from an instant lottery ticket. James Mollica won a million dollars from the Georgia Lottery’s $10 Million Cash Spectacular game.
Mollica had purchased the ticket at Parkway Shell gas station in Savannah where he immediately scratched it off, but took three days more before making his claim. It was so hard for him to believe he had won that he looked at the ticket a few times, just to be sure.
He has opted to receive the full amount in $40,000 yearly installments over the course of 25 years. After overcoming odds of 1 in 700,000 to post his win, Mollica wants to keep details of what he intends to do with his new found riches to himself. His wife says that Mollica plans to save his winnings.
