A decision to buy lottery tickets while on a gas station stop has made a Chicago woman’s dream trip to Paris to closer to reality. Ebony Austin was on her way to visit friends at Antioch when she bought her first, $10 “50X The Cash” lottery ticket.

Much to her surprise, when she scratched the ticket at a friend’s house it revealed a prize of $2 million.  Unconvinced, she had the ticket checked at three stores before signing it and having it verified at the Illinois Lottery offices.  Now that she has accepted her good fortune, she plans to invest some, help family and friends, and go shopping in Paris.

The Express gas station, 511 Grand Ave. in Ingleside earned a $20,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
