Cabbie Wins $1.9M Mega Millions Prize

These days we often hear about how inflation has eaten into the value of the dollar.  Some people even recall the days when a dollar bought a gallon of gas.  But a dollar, utilized the right way, can still make a lot of difference.

A Bay area cab driver by the name of Mahendra KC used a dollar to buy a Megamillions lottery ticket and was promptly rewarded  with a $1.9 million bounty.  He just missed the big jackpot by one number!

The cabbie immediately claimed his prize the morning after the draw.  The sickly Nepali immigrant can now afford to get the treatment that he needs, and can even pay for his parents’ medical bills.  There will be more than enough to cover his children’s student loans.

There is no word yet on whether Mahendra will retire.
