John Baxter won a million pounds from the Euromillions Lottery in January. Now eight months later, he says that the money has not changed his lifestyle very much.
When John won early this year, he had a hard time believing he had won, but as soon as it sank in, he decided to retire. His retirement however, was only moved forward by one year. The bulk of his spending so far have been on holidays with his wife, donations to charity and giving financial assistance to family and friends.
He and his wife have not splurged on luxuries, and still live the same way they have before the money. A few clothes and trinkets is all they bought for themselves, as they say they are very comfortable with what they have.
Another thing that has not changed is the two lottery tickets on Tuesdays and Fridays, and four on Wednesdays and Saturdays that he continues to buy.
