Kari Johns played the lottery only because she hoped to win enough money to pay for the funeral of a sister she lost to a car accident in February.
After playing for only a short time, she learned that one of the “Slingo” scratchers tickets she had bought from the Missouri Lottery had won $50,000.
To add to her blessings, after she won, she learned that her late sister’s funeral had been covered by the insurance company.
