Helen Walker, 78, may be £1.5 Million richer but has no interest in upgrading her lifestyle.

Husband Stanley, 57, and Helen are both quite happy in the ex-council house they bought back in 1988. After all, they’ve lived there quite happily for 46 years.

Instead the majority of the cash will be shared around their large family, although they will be treating themselves to a new front door.

Spending lots of money on the family is something we’ve never been able to do before and when you get to our age, what else are you going to do with it? We don’t need all that money.

With 2 children, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and another on the way shortly, they have plenty of family to enjoy the windfall with. The whole family are now looking forward to a trip to Disney Florida thanks to the generous pensioners.

Helen actually checked their winning ticket just before bedtime on Saturday night. She shook Stanley awake just minutes later to tell him they had matched all 6 numbers on the lottery!

The couple then stayed up till 3am drinking champagne and Amaretto whilst calling all their family to tell them the fantastic news.

The winning UK Lotto numbers for 4th June were 7, 21, 25, 32, 43 and 44. The Walker’s claimed a grand total of £1,466,667.
