Hairdresser Leads Woman To $7 Million Win

A hairdresser who was running late called up Marylin Looney and suggested she go scratch tickets first.  That proved to be a good idea.

The owner of the Selden convenience store where she bought the tickets could not contain his excitement while telling Looney she had just won $7 million.  The winner immediately called her daughter up to relay the happy news, then went over next door to hug her hairdresser.

At 82, with her husband in a home, Looney says there is little she needs.  She wants better medical care for her and her husband, to buy a house for the family and perhaps take a trip to Disneyland.  The bulk of her winnings will be used to pay off all their family’s debts and for her daughter and her family.
