Hobby Produces $1 Million ROI

Alonso Fernandez, who called his regular bets on the lottery his hobby was one of six local New York Lottery millionaires announced last Thursday.    It has become the man’s daily habit to buy the paper and bet on the lottery each morning.  He was surprised to find that one entry won a Powerball 2nd prize worth a million dollars.  Now the retired doorman wants to buy a fancy car.

Other million dollar success stories include:

Retired Staten Island electrician Henry Bennudriti who became too excited to come to church after his wife informed him of a $1 million Powerball jackpot.

Brooklyn social worker Jewdyer Osborne who won through a scratch-off Win $1,000 a Week for Life.  He says he plans to invest most of it.

Retired stationery handler Olin Lyles,  is another $1 million Powerball jackpot winner, and is still undecided about what he wants to do with the money.

Salome Fuentes Pinzon won $1 million in the scratch-off Pay Me game.  She plans to keep her job as a house keeper, and wants to buy a house.

George Varona, won the $1 million a top prize of the Win $1,000 a Week for Life game.
