Three lucky lotto players managed to share a £24.5 million jackpot without having to match all six numbers drawn – and no, they are not playing as a syndicate.
When no one matched all six numbers and the bonus ball the last draw, the jackpot was rolled down to those who were able to match just 5 balls plus the bonus ball. Thus three players were each able to secure an £8.1 million portion of the jackpot.
In the same draw, 51 other tickets matched five numbers but not the bonus ball to secure prizes of £1,350 each.
