Norman Gilmore has long since been a janitor at Belfast City Hall in Maine.
And his day started just the same way as usual early on Monday morning – cleaning up City Hall (just not in the Batman sense).
But then Norman was off on a long drive to Augusta to collect his winners check for $100,000.
Norman’s luck came up last Sunday afternoon when the $5 scratch-off ticket he had just bought revealed the big win. It was such a shock it was all he could do just to keep standing.
