Ines Carvajal from Kissimmee was revealed as the winner of the massive $182.1 MillionPowerball jackpot, drawn on the 26th February.
The winning ticket was bought at Publix, 2340 Fortune Road in Kissimmee. It was a Quick Pick ticket (those Quick Picks do win!).
Ines wasn’t aware she had won at first. She happened to be at the Publix store when her sister was buying a scratch-off ticket. It reminded her to check her Powerball ticket. Her sister didn’t win but Ines could not believe she had hit the jackpot.
She opted for the lump-sum payment, and will take away $91,187,716.61 before tax. Lottery officials say she plans to share her winnings with her family.
The store got $65,000 for being the seller of the winning ticket.
