We’ve all heard of people winning twice the jackpot amount because they bought the two tickets with the same number combinations. A grandma from Kent bought two tickets with the same number combination – but the tickets did not win any prize. What is surprising is that both tickets were bought as lucky dips on the same day!
Lottery officials say the odds of that happening is 1 in 45 million. Though Doreen Wallace feels what happened is ‘strange’ she plans to continue playing. But next time she will be picking her own set of numbers.
