A local farmer, who does not want to be identified, has won a bigger than usual sum of $263,021 from the Jersey Cash 5 lottery; the usual jackpot in the game, which has a 1 in 500,000 chance of winning, is only about $50,000.
The winner shared the very unique way he chose his winning number combination of 02, 05, 12, 18, and 37; he put all the numbers in a paper bag and drew five of them, in much the same way bingo numbers are drawn.
He had invested a considerable sum in this win, however, as he had been playing the same combination for the last fourteen months, his bets averaging $10 for the most part, and increasing to $20 per day lately.
You can’t argue with success; his method worked and now he is looking to pay off bills and buy a new truck.
