A lottery store owner in Perth has managed to pick the winning numbers for the $30 million draw of the Oz Lotto. The sad part for him is that he sold the winning ticket to a syndicate of ten random people – he will not receive a cent from the numbers he chose.
Soon-Chiang Yong, who owns the Lucky Lottery Centre at Boorogoon in Perth, says he chose numbers that have not come up in a while. But because he sold the tickets, ten people are going to be sharing the $30 million bounty. Mr. Soon says that he is happy for the ten winners and hopes that luck will also smile for a syndicate he has created for the coming $50 million draw.
But would he have sold the ticket if he knew it would win?
