After buying a a Fantasy 5 ticket from 7-Eleven at 1501 W. Fifth St. in Oxnard, Jasmine Ortiz was happy in the thought that she had won $411. In fact she was planning to spend the money to attend an Angels game and to go to Disneyland.
She couldn’t be more mistaken; she hadn’t won $411 after all, but a more considerable sum of $411,398.
While the realization that her win is much more than she originally thought made her many times happier, it has also dampened her urge to spend. With more money at stake, Jasmine wants to make sure it is spent wisely.
The Fantasy five game jackpot is won by matching five numbers drawn from 39 balls. The initial jackpot prize of $50,000 increases each time the jackpot is not won. Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.
