Louisiana Lottery Corporation officials were red-faced after an unexplained glitch caused the airing of incorrect results for the Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings on March 12th. While the verified results were 0-4-7 for Pick 3 and 3-1-8-4 for Pick 4, the show erroneously reported them as 1-1-1 and 2-2-2-2 respectively.
Lottery officials apologized for the error even if the rules clearly state that the audited results prevail in situations like this. The lottery says all the required checks were followed on March 12 but offered no explanation for the glitch. Interestingly, the results shown over the web were correct. Lottery officials have advised those who watched the March 12th draw on TV to check their tickets again.
