A Brisbane man in his thirties who has remained unidentified has won a $40 million jackpot on the Australian Powerball lottery.  The man was the only punter lucky enough to post a first division win in the draw.

The lottery official who rang the man to break the good news says the man was so gobsmacked, that there was silence on the other end of the line for quite some time.

The man, who has requested to remain completely anonymous, is a regular Powerball player who bought his winning entry online at the Tatts.com website.  The only details the man has shared is that he has a partner and children.
