A man who describes himself as ‘semi-retired’ was passing by Virginia Beach when he stopped at a Rite Aid and decided to test his luck on an instant ticket. Now the man is happy he did.
Addison Mathews bought a 50X the Money ticket and walked out of the store with a $5 million winner in his pocket. He later chose to receive the prize in a single payment of about $2.8 million before taxes instead of getting the full amount over a 30-year period. He does not have any clear plans for the money yet.
