If you thought that majority of people play the lottery with dreams of retiring from work, you would be wrong. Surveys have consistently shown that most Americans want to keep working even after winning the lottery. On average, 73% of Americans polled say they want to continue working even if they no longer need to because of a lottery win.
Most of those who want to continue working love their work, and most of those who want to retire or do other types of work are currently involved in low paying unskilled or semi-skilled labor.
