Michigan Legislature Blocks Funding For iLottery

The Michigan Lottery has set aside plans operate on the internet after lawmakers blocked nearly $3.4 million in funding requested by Gov. Rick Snyder  for the project originally set to launch in 2014.

The Republican-led house expressed concern that making the lottery available online might increase the chance of people getting addicted to gambling.
