Nebraskan Follows Hunch To $1 Million Jackpot

While Dustin Wood, who does not normally buy lottery tickets, was shopping at Russ’ Market on Sept. 11, he suddenly had the urge to buy one.  Now he is thankful that he followed his instinct, as his hunch had paid off to the tune of $1 million.

Wood learned of his lucky win, when he went to check his Powerball ticket at the same store later.  His ticket managed to beat odds of 1 in 5,153,633 to match the numbers drawn of 11, 19, 33, 42, 52.  He was not able to match the powerball number.

He became the eighth winner of a $1 million Powerball jackpot from Nebraska when  picked up the check from the offices on Friday.  Wood says he plans to save the money for the future.
