13 year old Kieran Maxwell lost his leg in March 2011, as a result of a rare form of Cancer.

But the resilient Lincolnshire lad has fought hard against his disease, and even took part in the London 2012 Olympic flame relay.

His family had been fundraising however to try and buy him a state of the art prosthetic leg, as his existing one is heavy and restricts his movement.

Kieran’s grandmother however took and chance and asked for some help from big Ayrshire lottery winners, the Weirs, only to be stunned to hear within a couple of days they said they wanted to help. Kieran will now receive his new leg within a matter of weeks, and is overjoyed at the news.
