NH Lottery Celebrates Half Century

There were celebrations in New Hampshire as the state’s lottery marked half a century of operations March 12.  The oldest lottery in the US is proud of its history and the more than $1.5 billion it has raised for education purposes.

The lottery used the occasion to introduce a new and limited edition scratch ticket named Granite Millions, which cost $25 each.  The new tickets feature a top prize of $2 million and $25 million in total prizes.

Also part of the celebration are eleven “customer appreciation events” that will be held in different parts of the state till late this year.  Numerous games and promotional activities are also planned throughout the year.
