NZ Man Collapses On Learning Of Lottery Win

Many people dream about lottery wins. But when the big one comes, not everyone can handle it. Some squander their riches, while one man was so overwhelmed that he collapsed and had to be taken to the hospital.

Lou Te Keeti from New Zealand was checking his accounts in the computer when he saw one that had more than the usual number of zeroes. $7.6 million had been added to his account. That was when he collapsed. He’s OK now as the doctors said it was a mere case of “euphoria.”

He planned to buy a big house for his wife Val, but she would have none of it. She values their house made of pine timber that came from an orchard they used to have.  So he had a sudden change in plans and only wants to buy a new car and breed horses. Part of the winnings will be used to finance a legal fight with the government for taking his family’s native land.
