Alice Griffin had to be convinced a her sister to play the lottery. She plays only occasionally and wins occasionally as well. After winning $5,000 on a scratch-off ticket just last year, she has again won, a million dollars this time, from a $10 Cash Spectacular scratch ticket she decided to buy while out running errands.
Now she is busy thinking of wise ways to handling her windfall, and considering having a bit of fun. The million dollar win is worth $600,000 in a single payment, equivalent to $420,000 after taxes.
