When Alan and Jane Slater from the Isle of Wight discovered they had won a £149,089.30 jackpot, they were elated. But thanks to their dog, their winnings have been doubled.
Their Labrador had discovered a second ticket the couple forgot they had bought which contained the same set of numbers and for the exact same draw. That the second ticket was found on Ruby the dog’s second birthday.
The pooch certainly lived up to its ‘retriever’ tag to the delight of its owners.
