Portugal has been seeing a lot of Euromillions jackpot winners lately. In the most recent draw, another Portuguese managed to match the five numbers and two lucky stars drawn to win a minimum prize of 15 million Euros. On the preceding draw, a fellow Portuguese also won a 15 million Euro Prize.
And as if highlighting the luck of the Portuguese, three of the five people sharing the second prize worth 197,499 euros also live in Portugal.
But then the taxman has to have his bite; all winners of prizes in excess of 5,000 euros are levied a 20% tax.
