Last week’s Match 6 Lotto jackpot set a new record of $7.37 million.  Though Pennsylvania lottery officials have not officially named the winner, there are indications that an Ebensburg area couple may have won. n On Sunday afternnon, Dr. John M. Vasil claimed that his wife Julie was the winner.  The couple later clammed up, and sought legal advice.

An attorney is said to have advised the couple against making any statements, so Julie has requested that their family’s privacy be respected.

It is mandatory for the identity of lottery winners to be revealed after the ticket is submitted and validated.  The Pennsylvania Lottery still has to make that announcement.  They have, however, shared that the winning ticket had been bought from Nic’s Tobacco, 2608 Bigler Ave. in Northern Cambria.  The store wins a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
