A retired farmer named Robert Power won a third of the $735,000 jackpot prize of the Show Me Cash lottery game. His quick pick ticket matched all five of the numbers drawn on Feb. 19.
He had purchased his ticket earlier at the Casey’s General Store in Mansfield. He claims he only plays a few times a month, and then only when the jackpot is big. He only remembered to check his ticket as he was preparing to tuck in for the night. When he discovered he had won, he went straight to the store for verification. There he was told to make a claim at the lottery headquarters.
Now Power sees himself living without the burden of debt, and worries about bills. He has declared that he wants to “get out of debt and stay there.”
