A Raleigh man who used numbers based on his daughter’s birthday matched 5 of 5 numbers in the Carolina Cash 5 Jackpot. Michael Gyurko won a total of $230,922 with an after tax value of $159,914.
The lucky man was stunned to learn of the win through the North Carolina Education Lottery website. All Gyurko wants to do is celebrate with a fancy dinner and save up the rest for retirement. He says he has a good reason to keep playing the lottery – even if he does not win again, the money will go to good causes anyway.
