A lawyer from Saskatoon, has won the biggest 6/49 lotto jackpot ever awarded in the state.  David Worme later received a check for $14,797,843 from lottery officials.  His win eclipsed the previous Saskatoon record of $14.6 million established in 2006.

His winning ticket which he bought from a Fas Gas in Saskatoon for $11, had its combination picked randomly by computer, which in some places is known as a lucky pick.  It took some time before he learned that the winning ticket was sold in Saskatoon.  That prompted him to check his tickets which led to the discovery of the win.

David has no plans of retiring however, nor does he plan on major purchases.  He says he has all he needs.  He plans to invest his winnings in his law firm.
