Sold The Wrong Ticket – And Won $2.1 Million

Scott Bennett wasn’t particularly upset at the assistant when she sold him the wrong lottery ticket. After all, it turned out to be worth $2.1 Million.

He intended to buy one Megabucks and one Lucky for Life – but instead ended up with two Megabucks tickets.

But it wasn’t until son Travis noticed that someone in the neighbourhood had been announced as a winner that Scott even realised it was him. Travis had left him a note to say ‘check your ticket’ – and that’s exactly where his wife found him later that day, just staring from the winning ticket back to the results website!

The family will bank $1.3 Million after taxes.
