Raymond Lillington’s wife Gayle always told him that betting on the lottery was a waste of money. But Raymond of Dingwall, Nova Scotia, continued buying lottery tickets, a habit, he says that has lasted forty years, and never gave him any major winnings.
That changed when he bought the 6/49 ticket that won $3.2 million for Wednesday night’s draw. Now his wife can only laugh in the background as they receive their winnings.
A recent news story told of a man who won millions when he heeded his wife’s advice to place lottery bets; this time it paid to disregard the wife’s advice.
