Attracted by last week’s $1.6 billion jackpot, Frederick Walker, from Sanford Florida, picked up a completed Powerball pay slip that someone chose not to play, and used it. His decision seems to be a variation of the quick pick option.
Incredibly, that ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball for a $1 million win. But because he paid an extra dollar for the power play option, his actual win doubled to $2 million. And it was his very first lottery ticket!
