Mindy Crandell, 34, was on a queue to buy lottery tickets, when her ten-year old daughter alerted her that a woman had stepped into the line ahead of them. Though the teller stopped to allow Mindy to take her rightful place on the line of people waiting to make bets, Mindy chose to allow the woman to make her bets ahead of her.
They were watching the TV a few weeks later when her child pointed out the “lady” they had encountered at the betting station – none other than Gloria C. Mackenzie collecting a $590 million jackpot.
Mindy says she has no regrets, and that she believes everything happens for a reason.
