In yet another validation of the advantage of playing the lottery as a group, fifteen members of the Penygroes Rugby Club scooped a million pound jackpot. It can be rightly called a well-deserved win, as the group has been playing the lottery for the last 12 years.
The £1,000,003.10 total prize money is the result of matching two main numbers in the draw, as well as the raffle number of their ticket being drawn. Each member of the group will receive a £66,666.87 share of the prize.
Syndicate leader Terry Rees bought the winning ticket from the Today’s Store in Gorslas Square.
