Robert Edgeworth says he plays the lottery because it is fun, but never really expected to win. Now that he has won $200,000, he is finding just how much fun actually winning a big jackpot is.
Robert had purchased a $5 instant ticket for the $500 Frenzy game at the Bigfoot Food Store at 536 Edwardsville Road in Troy, September 30. He scratched the ticket at the store using what he calls a “lucky nickel,” but initially doubted whether he had actually won the $200,000 top prize. He had to ask the clerk to verify.
As soon as his win was verified, he called up his wife and they both collected their winnings from the lottery offices.
Robert is glad that he can now pay his bills and share some of the blessings with family that already includes seven daughters, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
