A group of nine employees of the University Hospital Waterford have snagged a €500,000 Euromillions jackpot. The group of nine women have requested to remain anonymous.
Each member of the Waterford Euromillions lottery syndicate will receive €55,555.55. The happy women have thought of different ways to spend their little fortune. One will help fund her honeymoon, as she is getting married in a few months. Another wants to take her child to Disneyland. All felt as though they had won a million each.
One thing that may have helped them win is that they bought their ticket from a lucky store – the Ardkeen Superstore on the Dunmore Road in Waterford. The store had just sold a ticket which won a €12.8 million jackpot in September 2013.
