Texans are proud to to repeat an old PR campaign slogan that ‘everything is bigger in Texas’. An out-of-state visitor who won an instant lottery ticket prize, may be convinced that ‘bigger’ includes chances of winning. And to think that this was just her first visit to Texas.
Heidi Jo Love was just visiting a niece who was celebrating her fourth birthday when she decided to buy a Weekly Half Grand ticket from a Chevron gas station in Houston. She and her dad had the habit of buying instant lottery tickets whenever they are out of town. This time that strategy paid off big time. Her ticket won for her $500 per week for the next twenty years.
She says she wants to invest part of the money and help some people.
