Woman Wins Motorcycle In “Veterans Victory” Draw

A Clay County woman won a custom motorcycle at the Iowa Lottery’s special promotion which was meant to benefit the state’s veterans.

For the “Veterans Victory” draw on Thursday, a Victory Boardwalk motorcycle from the Victory Motorcycles In Spirit Lake was custom painted by well-known Iowa artist Ray “Bubba” Sorensen II for the major prize.  The artist is famous for his annual artwork on the “Freedom Rock”boulder near Greenfield in western Iowa.  The estimated value of the motorcycle is $31,000.

Players posted almost 97,000 entries for the promotion using non-winning $1 “Ride to Riches” instant-scratch game tickets.  Proceeds from sales of the Ride to Riches tickets benefit the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund.
