Donna Smith had a habit of stowing lottery tickets in her purse, which she leaves “in all sorts of places.” Such was the case with a ticket she bought just before going on vacation to Corfu. Little did she know that ticket is worth a million pounds.
Now she says she could have easily lost the ticket along with the chance to be a millionaire. She now plans to buy three houses: one for herself, one for her daughter and one for her mother. Despite her win, she says she will continue working at the co-op.
