An Extra Dollar Returns $750,000

State Lottery officials had to tell a retired bus driver from Central Falls that he was wrong to think he had won $250,000.  Dennis J. Edwards Jr. had actually won a cool million dollars.

Edwards forgot that he had the good fortune to have paid an extra dollar for a feature that quadruples any prize.  So while the ‘top prize’ had only been $250,000, the extra dollar boosted that to a million.
